Well Hello!

This is my first attempt at blogging, so please have patience with me.  I have been in love with quilting for most of my adult life.   I learned to quilt by hand many years ago and loved it but never mastered the art of free motion quilting.  By the time I'd sewn all those blocks together by hand, finishing with the pretty quilting design was the last thing on my mind!   And honestly quilting design wasn't taught at that time that I recall...stitching in the ditch was the extent of what I learned.

Fast forward a number of years and I have too many tops completed but never finished and quilted.  I have taken a couple of classes on free motion and love Craftsy classes and now hope to get my nerve up and complete these tops.   I guess the hardest part is taking the first step, so here I go!

This Christmas tree runner is a pattern I saw on a Missouri Quilt Company tutorial recently and it was a good place to test some basic quilting.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out and I gifted it to someone who was delighted to have it.

I am hoping I will catch onto blogging....it's taken me two hours to get this post ready!  Wish me luck!
